A Minnesota man received four years\' imprisonment for his involvement in a 2011 automobile accident that killed two, including his girlfriend. Mark Chalin, 24, received the sentence from District Judge Bradley Walker in a Mankato, Minn., court Monday after telling the judge he would trade his life for those of his two victims \"in a heartbeat\" during an emotional sentencing hearing, the Mankato Free Press reported Tuesday. Chalin was convicted in the Aug. 7, 2011, deaths of his girlfriend Amber Menezes and Jonna Martin, 35. Witnesses told investigators Chalin was driving recklessly when his car veered from its lane, striking Martin\'s oncoming car head-on, and that Menezes was in Chalin\'s lap, the pair appearing to be engaged in sex. Judge Walker\'s sentence included the possibility of supervised parole after three years.
