Mayor to testify in Spanish sex video case

A village mayor says he will testify Wednesday in an inquiry into how an erotic sex video made by a member of the village council ended up on the Internet. Olvido Hormigos said she made the video of herself naked and masturbating and emailed it only to her husband, thinkSpain reported. Someone posted the video online, producing a national scandal during which political party leaders tried to force Hormigos to resign. Pedro Acevedo, the mayor of Los Yebenes, is said to be \"helping with inquiries\" in the investigation of who posted the video. He has not been charged in the case. Acevedo said he did contribute to distribution of the video but had \"attempted to maintain normality\" in Hormigos\' political role after the village learned of the video. The only person yet known to have been involved in distributing the video is a close friend of Hormigos, a 28-year-old soccer player. Anyone convicted of online distribution of private and intimate documents in Spain could face huge fines and up to five years in prison.
