U.S. Internet security pioneer John McAfee told ABC News Thursday he played the \"crazy card\" upon fleeing Belize and said he abandoned his fortune. \"I have nothing now,\" McAfee told ABC during an interview at a Miami Beach hotel. He said he left behind $20 million in investments and about 15 properties in Belize, including the beachfront compound he fled after his neighbor Greg Faull was found shot to death Nov. 10. \"I\'ve got a pair of clothes and shoes, my friend dropped off some cash,\" McAfee said, referencing a mysterious \"Canadian friend\" who directed another man to meet him in Miami and give him a stash of $5 bills. McAfee fled when Belize authorities sought to question him in the death. He spent three weeks on the lam before emerging in Guatemala Dec. 3. As Guatemalan authorities debated deporting him to Belize or the United States, McAfee became ill and was taken to a hospital -- a condition he told ABC he faked to give a judge more time to stay his deportation to Belize. \"It was a deception but who did it hurt? I look pretty healthy, don\'t I?\" he said.
