Migrant boat sinks off Greek island, killing 1

One migrant was drowned and 46 others were rescued after the boat in which they were travelling sank near the Greek island of Oinousses in the eastern Aegean on Thursday, officials said. The Greek coast guard responded after the migrants were thrown into the sea when their boat en route from Turkey sank. One undocumented migrant drowned before he could be rescued. Authorities did not reveal the nationalities of the migrants who were taken to the nearby island of Chios for medical care, according to a report of DPA.
