
At least two students were killed and 29 others wounded in a militant attack on a school in Peshawar city of northern Pakistan on Tuesday, said officials.
According to initial reports, around six militants stormed into a school located on Warsak Road near Army Housing Colony in the provincial capital Peshawar.
Lady Reading Hospital spokesperson in a statement to media confirmed the number of casualties. Security forces have cordoned off the area and an operation against the militants was launched. The security forces have entered the school building, exchanged fire with the militants and evacuated large number of students, said media reports.
