
A person dressed in Afghan security forces' uniform gunned down three US contractors close to Kabul International Airport in Afghanistan, said police on Friday.
Haq Nawaz Haqyar, police commander of the airport told reporters that the incident took place at the airport, close to the Defense Ministry's air force's locality. He said that the guard shot dead three American contractors.
NATO spokesperson, Colonel Brian Tribus told reporters that three Americans were killed and another wounded in the shooting. Initial investigation revealed that an Afghan was also dead in the incident.
According to local media reports, Zabihullah Mujahid; Taliban spokesman, claimed responsibility of the attack, confirming that the Afghan security forces also gunned down the attacker.
The attack came at a time when Taliban rebels have paced up their attacks following the withdrawal of NATO/ISAF forces from Afghanistan and handing over the security control to national forces.
