More than half of the uninjured survivors of a January shipwreck off the coast of Italy have agreed to compensation deals, a cruise company said Tuesday. Costa Cruises announced 67 percent of the 3,050 people who were not injured when the Costa Concordia ran aground agreed to compensation packages, the Italian news agency ANSA reported. The average compensation package is believed to be $18,267. Costa Cruises said 23 percent of uninjured passengers have not accepted a compensation offer while 10 percent are taking legal action. Thirty-two people died in the accident. \"The families of the deceased and guests who were injured and requested medical attention received a separate proposal that takes into consideration the individual cases,\" the cruise company said.
