There\'s still no word on the 2,846 people listed as missing in Japan\'s March 11, 2011, earthquake, tsunami and nuclear catastrophe, official figures showed. Those vanished were remembered Tuesday when the country marked the 18-month mark since the triple-disaster that struck the country\'s northeast Pacific coastal regions, Kyodo News reported. The official death toll has remained at 15,870 and the other 2,846 people officially remained unaccounted for, the report said. The report said about 343,000 people were still housed in 136,000 temporary homes, which include provisional housing and rented private properties. Police and the Japanese coast guard in the disaster-hit areas of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures have continued their search for the missing victims, the report said.
