
A helicopter Mi-8 owned by AeroGeo company made a rough landing in the area of the mouth of the Khuringa river in the Krasnoyarsk region on Thursday afternoon local time. The helicopter performed a flight from the settlement of Podkamennaya to Tunguska Tenep with nine people on board. The helicopter chief pilot radioed for help and informed that one on board was injured. \"The helicopter had its propeller caught on trees when it was landing on a river bank in the area of the settlement of Turukhansk,\" a source from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) told Itar-Tass. A rescue helicopter has landed in the emergency area 167 kilometers off Turukhansk, the source said. A doctor who arrived on board the rescue helicopter has given medical assistance to the injured person who is no longer in danger. There were nine people on board the helicopter in trouble. In a short while the rescue helicopter will evacuate three crewmen and six passengers and bring them to Turukhansk. A commission which includes Rosaviatsia experts has been set up to investigate the causes of the accident, the source said.
