Noose tightens around Punjab ex-CM over missing wife

The noose is tightening around former Punjab chief minister, Dost Mohammad Khosa over the disappearance of his former wife, Sapna, who was an actress and showbiz personality.Sapnaís father Mishal Khan on Tuesday moved a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for registration of a criminal case against Dost Muhammad, who is son of the incumbent senior advisor to the Punjab government, Sardar Zulfikar Khosa.Khan said that Dost Muhammad married his daughter and later kidnapped her. He feared she has been murdered, while despite an earlier order of the LHC, the police were not registering the case.Dost Muhammad has taken the stand that Sapna left his house after he divorced her and he did not know her whereabouts.A few months back, the case went to the LHC, which ordered a criminal case should be lodged against the former chief minister.However, because of his political influence in the Punjab government, it has not been done, which has forced Sapnaís father to approach the LHC again.
