Two people were fatally shot and another injured in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on Thursday in a rare murder case involving the use of a firearm.
A person surnamed Yu allegedly killed the two victims with a pistol in the suspect's home in Lanxi County before driving to Bei'an Township and injuring the third victim. The case was reported at 11:20 a.m., the county government said in a statement.
Police are hunting down the suspect, who remains on the loose.
Private possession of firearms is banned in China, so gun crime, while rare, generally triggers a sensation.
