One dead, one wounded in Louisiana shooting

One person was killed and another wounded following a shooting in the U.S. state of Louisiana on Friday, local media reported. The incident happened at about 4:35 p.m. Friday in Marrero, Louisiana, the news website NOLA.com reported. The deceased victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the wounded was sent to hospital, said John Fortunato, spokesman for the Sheriff\'s office in Jefferson Parish, where Marrero is located. The scene of the shooting was cordoned off. No other details about the incident were immediately available.
