
Pakistani military fired around 100 rockets in Kunar province, as cross-border shelling from the other side of Durand Line continued, Khaama Press reported.
Provincial police chief, Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel, confirmed that the rockets landed in Dangam and Shegal districts late Tuesday night, but no casualties were reported.
He said dozens of families were forced to leave their homes and flee the area as the shelling started.
At least five civilians including women and children were injured following cross-border shelling in Kunar province late last month.
The Pakistani military has been shelling eastern provinces of Afghanistan including Kunar and Nuristan during the recent years which has left dozens of people have been killed or injured following the cross-border shelling.
According to reports, the Pakistani military has fired over 5,000 rockets in Kunar province during the past two years.
