Palestinian national reconciliation progress discussed

Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamel Amro held Monday a meeting with Fatah member Azzam Al Ahmed to discuss the Palestinian national reconciliation, being held under Egyptian auspices. Al Ahmed said after the meeting that he has informed the Egyptian Foreign Minister about the steps planned to achieving national reconciliation, which start with registering voters for elections. Gaza strip has already registered 83% of the eligible voters. Al Ahmed revealed that Fatah and Hamas will meet in Cairo on February 27 to announce a date for the elections. It is expected to be at the end of next month, Al Ahmed said.
