A Russian military Antonov An-30 aircraft crash-landed at the Chaslav military aerodrome in the Czech Republic on Wednesday and caught fire, injuring six of the crew, Czech information agency ChTK reported. The aircraft had 23 people on board, the agency said, quoting the Czech general staff\'s press secretary Jan Ruzhichkov. The aircraft, which was conducting an Open Skies surveillance flight, was damaged when its nosewheel collapsed on landing, according to a Russian military source. “The nosewheel collapsed on landing, putting the aircraft on its nose, after which it rolled off the runway and caught fire,” he said. One Czech and two Russians were among the injured, he said, whilst local media said six were hurt in the crash.
