
At least seven militants of banned outfits were killed in two different security operations in Karachi city of southern Pakistan, said police on Thursday.
A local police official, Javed Ahmed told KUNA that four militants were killed in Rangers led operation and arms recovered after encounter in Janjal Goth area of Sohrab Goth.
The militants were allegedly affiliated with banned outfit.
Meanwhile, three militants were killed and arms recovered in a shootout with Rangers during an action in Surjani town.
The suspected militants opened fire on Rangers laying a cordon as part of the operation and were killed in the resultant exchange of fire, said police.
Earlier on Monday, at least thirteen suspected militants were killed in a security operation in Sohrab Goth locality of the economic hub facing militant activities for last many years.
The security forces are carrying operations against the militants in different areas after a brutal militant attack on an army run school in Peshawar city killing at least 149 people including 133 children.
