An airstrike by the Syrian military in the town of al-Bab in Aleppo province killed 25 people Monday, opposition activists said. Human rights groups said several women and children were among the dead after the building was hit in a town that is largely in rebel hands and is being heavily attacked by government forces, the BBC reported. A second bomb in 10 days exploded in the Jaramana district of Damascus, targeting the Druze and Christian area of the city, the BBC reported. No deaths were reported. The U.N.-Arab League envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, is scheduled to visit Syrian President Bashar Assad Saturday. Brahimi said he \"had ideas, but no plan yet\" on how to ease the tensions in Syria, other than talking to as many people as possible. \"I\'m coming into this job with my eyes open, and no illusions,\" Brahimi told the BBC. \"I know how difficult it is -- how nearly impossible. I can\'t say impossible -- [it is] nearly impossible. Activists said 20,000 people have died in Syria since protests began in March 2011. Human rights groups said August was the most deadly month yet, with more than 5,000 people killed.
