
The continuous Turkish protests since the last 12 days resulted in killing four citizens, while injuring around 5000, local medical sources said. A total of three citizens were dead, besides a policeman aged 26 years old, who was shot in head during a protest in Ankara, a statement of the Turkish Medical Association said. A total of 4947 were wounded during the protests, it added. Taksim Square, central Istanbul, witnessed calmness after 20 hours of clashes between protesters and policemen, before an expected meeting between the Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and organizers of the recent protest in the country, a step to end the crisis that out broke since May 31.
