US-led alliance carries out 27 air sorties against Daesh in Iraq, Syria

The US-led alliance carried out 27 air sorties against Daesh terrorist group in Syria and Iraq.
The US-led alliance carried out two air sorties in Syria and 25 air sorties in Iraq, according to a statement issued by the Joint Task Force carried by the Pentagon on Thursday.
The US-led alliance started bombing Daesh targets in Syria in September as part of a strategy aimed at rolling back the group’s territorial gains in Syria and Iraq.
Clashes between Iraqi forces and the militant group have also been ongoing since June 2014 when the armed group seized Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
