Cleaner charged for sexually abusing 5-year-old girl

A cleaner has been charged in the Court of First Instance with sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl while at her parents' house.
The 23-year-old Pakistani man is accused of touching the girl inappropriately, exposing himself in front of her and molesting her when she was alone with him. It happened on April 17 and a complaint was registered at Bur Dubai police station.
He admitted in the investigation that he grabbed the girl's hand and made her touch him.
The victim's father told the prosecutor that he got a call from his wife telling him about the incident. "She told me the cleaner sexually abused our daughter. He exposed himself in front of her and molested her after taking her pants down."
The girl said she was sitting on a couch in the living room when the defendant came to her. She said he told her not to tell her parents about it.
A police lieutenant said the accused admitted to the charge during interrogation.
The defendant has been detained.
