A video clip of a taxi driver driving his car with his wife tied to the bonnet, in Isfahan, Iran, has gone viral.
According to an anonymous government official cited in Arabic newspapers, the man did this to punish his wife after they had an argument.
- The video, which was recorded and distributed by a motorist driving next to the taxi, has sparked outrage on social media.
The woman can be heard pleading her husband to stop. She later fell on the ground and sustained injuries, Arabic media reports said.
She was rushed to a hospital, and the husband was arrested.
"This is utterly disgraceful. Husband and wife can have disagreement, but he has no right to play with the woman's life," said a furious Taiba in a comment on the video on Instagram.
"Had he been my son I would have disowned him," said Farida, another surfer.
