Abeer Saady in RSF list

Egyptian journalist Abeer Saady Cairo - Arab Today Reporters Without Borders has enlisted Egyptian journalist Abeer Saady on "100 Information Heroes" list ahead of World Press Freedom Day on May 3. The organisation published the 100 names to honour a wide range of journalists and bloggers who "constantly sacrifice their safety and sometimes their lives to their vocation." The list paid tribute to men and women aged 25-75 years from 65 countries. “These ‘information heroes’ are a source of inspiration to all men and men who aspire to freedom," Reporters Without Borders secretary-general Christophe Deloire said. "Without their determination and the determination of all those like them, it would be simply impossible to extend the domain of freedom." Abeer Saady has been writing constantly in Arabic and English on the most important subjects for the past 23 years. Whether at the Libyan war front or on the streets of Cairo, she seems to be everywhere. Hundreds of journalists throughout the Middle East know her, as she has given safety training to journalists working in hostile areas in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Bahrain and elsewhere.
