Floridays Resort Orlando Florida - Arab Today Florida has emerged as the leading destination for family-friendly hotels among US travelers, with a resort condo near Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando taking the top spot in a new TripAdvisor survey. As parents start to think about the summer holidays, the world’s largest travel site has released its latest Top 10 Travelers’ Choice Hotels for Families, in which more than 2,700 survey respondents gave the top spot to the Floridays Resort Orlando, a popular choice for Disney-destined families with its apartment-style suites. With a living and dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen -- including dishwasher -- a suite at the Floridays allows families to cook and eat at the hotel. In fact, the condo-style accommodations could be described as an extension of family home life, as suites also come with washer and dryers, Jacuzzi tubs in the Master suite, Wifi access and 37” flat-screen TVs. The hotel also offers a grocery delivery service that will stock the fridge before families arrive. Given that Florida is home to a slew of park attractions, it’s no surprise that the Sunshine State dominates the list of top 10 hotels for families with four addresses. California follows with three hotels. This year, the majority of families said they plan to stay at traditional hotels (71 percent), while 41 percent said they also plan to book accommodations at a vacation rental. When it comes to booking, respondents said their top hotel amenity is a complimentary breakfast followed by location. The most annoying part of a family vacation? Lugging extra gear. And finally, respondents said they’re more likely to resemble “The Griswolds” from the National Lampoons series than The Cleavers.
