Arab League deplores execution of Palestinian youth by Israeli soldier in Hebron

The Arab League condemned on Sunday in the strongest terms the execution of a Palestinian youth by an Israeli soldier in Hebron city earlier.
The killing of Abdul Fattah El Sherif, 21, is a heinous crime as it represents one of hundreds of bloody crimes committed by Israeli troops, the pan-Arab body said in a statement.
It called on the international community and NGOs to open a probe into all field executions carried out by Israeli troops in the Palestinian territories.
An Israeli soldier was detained after a video emerged Thursday afternoon that shows the soldier shooting a Palestinian man in the head as he lies injured on the street in Hebron.
The video, provided by B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights organization, shows a small crowd of Israeli soldiers and medics standing around a Palestinian man, identified as Abdul Fattah El Sherif, lying on the ground.
