Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, condemned in possible strong terms the terrorist blast, which occurred near the Salam Mosque at Al Haram Street in Giza Governorate, Egypt, on Friday morning.
The blast killed six security personnel and injured others.
"Such abhorrent terrorist attacks will only embolden the Egyptian people and the police to uproot terrorism that aims to destabilise Egypt," Sheikh Al-Azhar said in a statement.
