Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla strongly condemned the terrorist attack which targeted an armed vehicle in the El Arish, in Egypt, leaving several policemen dead and wounded.
The Speaker sent a cable to Egyptian Parliament President Dr. Ali Abdula’al and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims’ bereaved families, wishing the wounded quick recovery.
He reiterated Bahrain’s support to Egypt, backing all security measures to confront the danger of terrorism, maintain sovereignty, enforce the rule of the law and protect the security of people. The Speaker affirmed Bahrain’s firm rejection of heinous terrorist acts which contravene all religious, ethical and human values, adding that the regional and international efforts led by Saudi Arabia would continue to combat terrorism and root out violence and extremism. Al-Mulla sent a similar cable to Egyptian ambassador to Bahrain, expressing heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.
