The High Administrative Court in Cairo headed by Counselor Ahmed Abu El Azm issued on Sunday a final verdict to disband the board of Cairo's popular club Al Ahly over annulment of the club's elections.
Also, the court has rejected two appeals by Al Ahly's board and the Ministry of Youth and Sports against the verdict of Cairo administrative court to nullify the club's elections.
Earlier, a lawsuit filed by two members of the club's general assembly, demanded the freezing of election results, saying that elections were called in a meeting that did not reach the quorum for voting.
The Administrative Court said violations were committed during the elections, and thereby rejected the results.
The elections were held in 2014 and brought a new board, led by Mahmoud Taher.
