Bayern Munich conceded the joint fastest goal in Bundesliga history on Saturday when Hoffenheim striker Kevin Volland slotted home after just nine seconds.
Defending champions Bayern gifted hosts Hoffenheim the opener at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena when David Alaba's back pass failed to find Jerome Boateng and Volland, a Germany Under-21 international, darted onto the loose ball and drilled his shot past Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Volland's goal equalled the previous record set by Bayer Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi on the opening day of the 2014/15 season at Borussia Dortmund.
