Goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez has signed a one-year contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, the French Ligue 1 champions have announced. Douchez joined the club in the summer of 2011, at the same time as starting keeper Salvatore Sirigu, and has since made 33 appearances, six of them in Ligue 1.
"I have spent three and a half extraordinary years with Paris Saint-Germain, crowned with numerous titles and unforgettable moments. I wanted to extend this incredible human and sporting adventure," he told www.psg.fr.
The 34-year-old will now stay at the Parc des Princes until the summer of 2016. "We wanted Nicolas Douchez, an experienced goalkeeper and important member of the squad, to continue with us," said PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi.
"He is much more than just a second-choice keeper and we are very happy with his performances."
