IF Elfsborg moved eight points clear at the top of the Allsvenska with a 3-0 win at GIF Sundsvall tonight. Stefan Ishizaki put the league leaders in front after 32 minutes and Niklas Hult doubled their advantage midway through the second half. Marcus Danielsson's own goal in the 67th minute sealed the points. The win extended Elfsborg lead over Malmo to six points after 11 games of the season. In the day's other game, struggling GAIS drew 1-1 at home to IFK Goteborg. Markus Gustafsson put the hosts in front after seven minutes, but Tobias Hysen levelled nine minutes after the break.
