Jorge Villafana netted the equalizer for Chivas USA in the 69th minute Sunday and FC Dallas was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw. Blas Perez gave Dallas an early lead with a tally in the 8th minute when put in the rebound of a David Ferreira shot off Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy. FCD held onto the lead until the second half when Villafana knocked the ball into the net after Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman had gotten a piece of a cross from Miller Bolanos. The single point meant Dallas (9-12-11, 38 points) could only move to within four points of Vancouver for the fifth and final Western Conference playoff spot with two games remaining. Chivas improved to 7-17-8.
