
Manchester United endured a third consecutive away draw as they were held 1-1 at Stoke City in the first Premier League match of 2015 on Thursday, dpa reported.
In difficult, windy conditions, Ryan Shawcross put Stoke in front after just two minutes but Radamel Falcao equalized for United on 26 minutes.
Peter Crouch almost won it for Stoke when he headed onto the post but the draw left United still third, nine points behind leaders Chelsea, while Stoke moved up one place to 10th.
