New Zealand are the latest nation to qualify for Japan 2012 after the Kiwis cruised past their Oceanian rivals winning all three matches. The Junior Football Ferns needed only to avoid a heavy defeat on the final matchday to advance to their fourth successive FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Victory against Samoa was never in doubt with New Zealand racing to a six-goal advantage by half-time in Auckland. Only two African qualifiers remain to be confirmed for the 16-nation tournament which will be held in five locations across Japan during August and September.
