Arsenal Sarandi closed to within a point of the top of the Argentinian Clausura table with a 3-1 win over Lanus on Monday. Nicolas Aguirre opened the scoring for the home side after 15 minutes and Emilio Zelaya doubled the advantage after 26. Mario Regueiro pulled a goal back for the visitors with 37 minutes gone but Jorge Ortiz sealed the points for the home side when scored a minute later. The win leaves Sarandi a point behind Boca Juniors and level with Tigre, while Lanus lie 12th.
