USA coach Pia Sundhage still found room for complaint despite her side's 3-0 defeat of Colombia which enabled them to progress to the quarter-finals of the Women's Olympic Football Tournament. A first-half strike from Megan Rapinoe and late goals from Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd ensured a comfortable victory, but the Swedish coach was not 100 per cent happy with her team's performance as a whole. She said: "I didn't quite see all the things I wanted to see after the first game. In the first half the speed of play could have been better but although it wasn't the best game we scored three goals and got three points so that is the most important thing." Sundhage was impressed with both Rapinoe and Wambach's contributions, though, as the former also provided the assist for Lloyd's goal and Wambach passed Mia Hamm as the all-time leading scorer for USA in Olympic competition. "Lloyd's goal was a beautiful move and Megan played a big part in that. She makes good decisions and the way she is playing she is having a huge impact. She has had two good games. "Abby is a team player and a game winner. She recognises how important the team is in helping her and how much she offers the team. She is a role model, a special player and I am very happy to have her on our side." Rozo sees Colombia progress Colombia coach Ricardo Rozo, meanwhile, was satisfied that his side had made progress since they last met USA at the FIFA Women's World Cup™ in 2011. The Americans also ran out 3-0 winners on that occasion, but Rozo believes Colombia provided more resistance this time round and that only a few individual errors were to blame for the margin of defeat. "If you compare it to the game last year I think we have shown we have improved and with 15 minutes to go it was only 1-0," he said. "We knew whatever happened it would be a very hard game but unfortunately we made some errors in conceding the last two goals. We have to keep improving and try to win the last game." FIFA
