Toluca and Tijuana cruised into the Apertura play-off semi-finals as they controlled the second legs of their quarter-final ties on Sunday. Toluca already had a 2-0 lead over Guadalajara from the away leg, and after a goalless first half they turned on the style with quickfire goals from Wilson Mathias and Lucas Silva just before the hour mark and a third from Juan Carlos Cacho in the 71st minute. Erick Torres made it 3-1, 5-2 on aggregate, with nine minutes left, but there was no way back for Guadalajara. Tijuana led Monterrey 1-0 from the first leg, and doubled their advantage through Pablo Aguilar in the 51st minute. Monterrey would get a 90th minute goal from Jose Maria Basanta to level on the night, but it was scant consolation as they went out. FIFA
