Al-Sadd, al-Ahli qualify to semifinals of Emir Football Cup

Al Sadd and Al Ahli qualified to the semifinals of HH the Emir Football Cup after beating Al Arabi and Lekhwiya respectively on Saturday. In the first match held at Grand Hamad Stadium, Al Sadd defeated Al Arabi 2-0 while Al Ahli registered a 3-2 victory over Lekhwiya in the second playoff. On the other quarterfinals matches, Al Gharafa outplayed El Jaish while Al Sailiya edged past Al Khor. The semifinals will be held on Saturday as Al Ahli will take on Al Sailiya while Al Sadd will clash against Al Gharafa. The final match will be staged on May 17. Source: Qatar Olympic Committee
