Diego Maradona made a winning start to the new UAE League season as his Al Wasl side overcame Al Sharjah 3-0. Juan Manuel Oliveira netted a hat-trick for the hosts, opening the scoring from the spot after a quarter of an hour and adding two more after the break to claim the points.
