Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended yesterday the 1,000 Guineas Classic at Newmarket racecourse. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Godolphin's Lucida, ridden by Kevin Manning, came second in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas for 3-year old fillies, after Legatissimo, owned by Michael Tabor.
Among others present were Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Sheikh Juma bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamad bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of Protocols and Hospitality Department in Dubai, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Meydan, a number of officials and fans.
