Qatar start strong in table tennis tournament

The Qatari tennis table team started strong in the 23rd Arab Tennis Table Tournament after they defeated Jordan 3-0 in the opening day of the tournament. The Jordanian team had no answer for the Qatari team comprised of Fahad Al Mughni, Ahmed Khalil Al Muhannadi and Walid Nasser. In the U-13s, the Qatari team defeated its Lebanese counterpart 3-1. Qatar lost the first game but the players remained strong and replied with three straight wins. The U-13 girls team also won in a tightly contested affair against Iraq 3-2. The tournament is taking place in Kuwait from September 13-23. The Qatari squad include Ahmad Khalil, Walid Naser, Fahad Al-Mughni, Jassim Al-Sunaidi, Abdul Rahman Al-Najar, Mohammad Al-Kerbi, Mohammad Al-Sulaiti, Mohammad Al-Hadad and Mohammad Khalil.
