Sheikh Joaan al-Thani elected QOC president
Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani

HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani was elected president of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) at its general assembly held here on Thursday.
HE Sheikh Joaan will serve a term that runs until the end of the 2016 Olympic Games.
He becomes the sixth president of QOC, which has previously seen five presidents since its inception in 1979.
