Bryant powers Lakers past Nuggets in NBA playoffs

Kobe Bryant scored 38 points and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated Denver 104-100, seizing a two games to none lead over the Nuggets in their best-of-seven Western Conference playoff series. Bryant, who made 15-of-29 shots from the field, helped put the Lakers halfway to a berth in the second round heading into games at Denver on Friday and Sunday. \"In their arena, they are going to push the ball more,\" Bryant said. \"They are going to be more comfortable and more comfortable taking their shots. We\'re going to have to be ready and prepared for that.\" Andrew Bynum scored 27 points while Ramon Sessions contributed 14 points and Spaniard Pau Gasol added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers on Tuesday.
