China releases National Fitness Program 2016-2020

The Chinese government announced the National Fitness Program for 2016-2020 on Thursday, saying the total consumption of sprtos in 2020 will reach 1,500 billion RMB (about 228 billion US dollars).
Till 2020, 700 million people will take part in physical exercises at least once a week, among them 435 million as regular exercisers, according to the program.
"Compared with the program for the last five years, we have changed the perspective about sports. Now we believe sports should be integrated with education, culture, tourism and medical industry," said Liu Guoyong, an official of General Administration of Sport of China.
