T.J. Warren made 9-of-12 shots from the field and scored 22 points Thursday to send No. 6 North Carolina State rolling over Penn State 72-55. The teams met in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Classic with North Carolina State advancing to meet Massachusetts in the semifinals on Friday. The Wolfpack pulled away in the second half after holding a nine-point advantage at the break. That lead grew to as many as 22 points. Warren added eight rebounds off the bench while C.J. Leslie had 14 points for North Carolina State (2-0). The Wolfpack shot 50 percent from the field and hit 8-of-16 from beyond the 3-point arc. Penn State (1-1) was limited to 31 percent shooting, hitting just 19 field goals for the game. Tim Frazier led the Nittany Lions with 23 points. Massachusetts earned its meeting with North Carolina State by edging Providence 77-75.
