Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo celebrated their All-Star selections with home runs as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-6. Rookie Trout\'s solo shot in the eight represented the go-ahead run, and Trumbo followed it up with a homer of his own. Another All Star - CJ Wilson - got the win despite only going five innings, allowing two runs - one earned - on three hits and five walks. Jim Thome went hitless on his Baltimore debut as the Orioles lost 6-2 to the Cleveland Indians. A day after being traded by Philadelphia, Thome was kept quiet by Justin Masterson, who fanned seven in seven strong innings, allowing two runs, one of which was unearned. Shelley Duncan and Aaron Cunningham homered for the Indians. Clayton Kershaw pitched seven strong innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers earned a rare win, beating the New York Mets 8-3 in a messy game. Kershaw allowed three runs - one earned - as he fanned nine across seven innings. In a game which featured five errors, eight of the 11 runs scored were unearned. Ryan Zimmerman drove in four runs on three hits, including a homer, as the Washington Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 8-4. Giancarlo Stanton belted his 19th long ball of the season as the Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-2. Phil Hughes allowed two runs in eight innings as the New York Yankees beat the Chicago White Sox 4-2. Trevor Plouffe homered twice as the Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 10-8. Yadier Molina and Allen Craig both went yard to lead the St Louis Cardinals to a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Travis Wood threw 7 2/3 scoreless innings and scored the go-ahead run - driven in by rookie Anthony Rizzo - as the Chicago Cubs beat the Houston Astros 3-0. David Ortiz scored Dustin Pedroia on a sacrifice fly in the 10th as the Boston Red Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 2-1 for their first extra-inning victory of the season. Kip Wells tossed seven shutout frames to lead the San Diego Padres to a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rockies and the Oakland Athletics overcame the Texas Rangers 3-1. The Detroit Tigers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-3, the Milwaukee Brewers were 2-1 winners over the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants edged out the Cincinnati Reds 4-3.
