
France head coach Philippe Saint-Andre on Sunday recalled both No8 Louis Picamoles and hooker Dimitri Szarzewski to the squad for the final Six Nations match with Ireland. While Picamoles earned a recall after being suspended for the 19-17 win over Scotland on account of his disrespectful attitude to referee Alain Rolland in the previous game against Wales, there was no such reprieve for scrum-half Morgan Parra. Parra, who was not considered for selection for the first part of the tournament as he worked back to match fitness after being injured, was also suspended for the Scotland game after he headbutted an opponent in a Top 14 game between his side Clermont and Montpellier. Szarzewski is recalled after recovering from injury and judging by the amount of lineouts the French lost against the Scots his more reliable throw in will see him start the game. France, who finished with the Six Nations wooden spoon last year, can still win the title if they beat the Irish, who top the table by virtue of points difference. Source: AFP
