Tiger Woods took the lead Friday during the second round of the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, Fla. Woods, a four-time winner of the event -- the season\'s final major -- had birdies on the second and fourth holes to move to 5-under-par. Gary Woodland, who had led earlier at 6-under, was in a group of players one stroke back after a double bogey at the eighth hole. Among others at 4-under was Vijay Singh, who won the PGA Championship in 1998 and 2004. He carded five birdies and two bogeys in a 3-under 69. Others at 4-under was first-round leader Carl Pettersson. Rory McIlroy was at 2-under John Daly had three early bogeys but added a birdie and was in a group at 2-under. Phil Mickelson had a 1-under 71 in the second round and was even for the tournament. World No. 1 Luke Donald, who is yet to win a major tournament, slipped to a 76 and was six over. The projected cut was 4-over.
