Italian Interior Minister Angelino Alfano has played down threats by the terrorist Daesh group, believing them to be false.
Alfano said that intelligence experts considered an attack by a lone terrorist, radicalized in Italy, to be a more likely scenario.
With the terrorist alert now at maximum in Italy, special training will be given to police this month, Alfano said.
"The terrorist threat will be re-examined and re- evaluated," Alfano said.
