Yemen’s military stresses readiness to liberate Hodeidah

Spokesperson of Yemeni Army Abdou Ali Megali revealed that they have a new strategy to restore their control on the Yemeni city of Hodeidah and its report during the coming period.
He added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, that the Yemeni national army is ready to liberate the whole city while they still wait the orders of the country’s leadership to take an action to liberate the strategic city from the insurgents.
He stressed that over 90 percent of the city’s residents expressed their support for the legitimate regime of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, saying that they expressed their protest many times before against the insurgent militants.
He added, “Since their takeover of Hodeidah, the Houthi militants have looted all the province's resources. They used its resources and port to support their military activities. They looted humanitarian aids to sell them in the black market to increase their financial gains.”
The people of Hodeidah suffer from poverty to the extent of famine. A large number of international organizations warned of the increasing diseases that could hit the city, calling the international community for taking serious steps to contain the violations committed by the insurgents in the city.
