Al Rayyan’s handball team reached Saturday the semi-finals of the 15th Asian Handball Club League Championship 2012 after defeating Saudi Arabia’s Mudhar 27/25. The win takes Al Rayyan’s tally to two points, the team is now joint top of the group with Kuwait’s Kuwait. The two top sides will meet tomorrow Sunday to decide Group B’s winners. In group A, Bahrain’s Al Ahli qualified to the semi-finals along with Saudi Arabia’s Al Noor. They defeated UAE’s Al Jazeera and Iran’s Al Hojaj respectively. The tournament is hosted by Doha and will end on Thursday November 15.
